Right on schedule, the chicks started hatching this morning! I hurried outside so that I could see them as they were coming out of their eggs. So far three are out, and there are six more to go. We could see the little “pips” on the unhatched eggs where the chicks were starting to peck their way out. So cool!
Today was beautiful – no rain, lots of sun! Mom, Dad and I all spent the day working hard outside. I collected eggs, fed the old apples and bananas to the goats and horses and dug for worms. Mom and I have been building a nice house for Siddle and Diddle to live in…hopefully it will be done soon so I can post some photos of it!
By the way, Diddle is one of the ducks from two blog entries ago…scroll down to see how tiny he was less than two months ago! Siddle is a little smaller, but she didn’t want to be in the picture today
