Blast Off!

Check out my new spaceship... another treasure that Mom found on Craigslist. It makes lots of cool noises and even sounds like it's going to take off! I'm not quite tall enough for it yet, but I like to sit in it with a blanket wrapped around my waist. Grampie McMahon is here today painting our house - it's looking good!

Two Lobsters and a Crab...

Sunday I met my first Maine lobsters! Grammie and Grampie McMahon brought them to us for our annual Memorial Day weekend feast. Grammie had to hold my hands back because I really wanted to touch their pinchers. Maybe next year I'll get to try a bite...

Flower Child

Grandma Ottele brought me this pretty flower headband today - I had a hard time looking at the camera though because I was much more interested in looking for bugs in the grass! I had lots of fun playing with Grandpa and did more giggling and squealing than I've ever done. I've really discovered my toes and like to help Mom during diaper changes by holding my feet. Last week I figured out how to roll onto my side from my back, but I can't quite get all the way onto my tummy yet. I like to play in my Jumperoo - Mom put a calculus book underneath it since my legs aren't long enough to touch the floor. I love to smile at and eat my quacking bunny and talking monkey!

Boys are yucky...

Last Thursday, I went to the first official "Thursday Evening Baby Playgroup" meeting that my new friends and I are starting. I really like to watch all of the other babies and listen to the Moms talk about stuff. Before we left, the Moms lined all of us up for a photo-op...I was next to my new buddy Shaun, and he kept holding my hand! I made some bad faces for the pictures...

I won my first contest!

On May 3rd, Mom and I went to Baby Day at Top Foods and I won the stroller decorating contest! Mom wrote "Mady and the Mooseketeers" on the front of my new stroller and I shared my ride with a bunch of the stuffed moose that usually decorate our living room. I wore Chino's reindeer antlers for the finishing touch. I think that we would have won no matter what, but it didn't hurt that we were the only ones who showed up for the contest! My prizes included a big pink ball and a fun sandcastle-making toy. After the contest, Mom and I had to go on a "parade" around the store - we felt a little silly, but the free sample people were nice to us and one customer even came over and asked to take my photo!

I got my own Jeep...

...Jeep STROLLER, that is! Mom found a nice one through Craigslist for me and we took it for a spin to the mailbox today. I liked riding in it as long as we kept moving! Chino liked the walk too; he's been getting left out of the action since I arrived. After our walk, we went to the Snohomish Farmers Market and bought some pretty flowers.Look at how I've grown...the first photo was taken when I was ten days old, and the second one is of me at twelve weeks old!
